14th Nordic Conference on Computational Linguistics (NoDaLiDa)

May 30-31, 2003 - Reykjavík

NODALIDA 2003, the 14th Nordic Conference on Computational Linguistics, will be held at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík, on Friday and Saturday, May 30-31, 2003.

The conference is open for all branches of computational linguistics. The deadline for submitting an abstract was February 28, 2003.

Please note that on Wednesday, May 28, there will be a one-day General Seminar sponsored by the Nordic Language Technology Research Program. The seminar is open to everybody interested, and we encourage all prospective participants in NODALIDA also to attend the seminar. Please let us know whether you plan to attend the seminar by sending an e-mail message to nodalida03@hugvis.hi.is. Participation is free of charge.

On Thursday, May 29, (Ascension Day) we have arranged an optional whole-day excursion – a bus tour to Stykkishólmur and a sea cruise in Breiðafjörður. The excursion is aimed at participants in both events. The NODALIDA conference starts officially with an informal reception on Thursday night.

The registration deadline for NODALIDA was April 1, 2003. However, it is still possible to register, but at a higher registration fee. After April 1, the registration fee is ISK 9500, including lunch and coffee during the conference. We urge everyone to register as soon as possible, especially since the hotel situation in the end of May can be tight.
